Description	:	Our dear Aunt Betty has left us. We knew it wouldn't be long as the other half of the duo, Leonard, had passed away in June 2016. they were married for 66 years. Although they never had any children of their own, we their rambunctious nieces and nephews claimed them, as they did us. Betty helped us learn to ride bikes, garden, have fun, but at the same time, learn the rules for becoming well-mannered young adults. Betty helped us learn to ride bikes, garden, have fun, but at the same time, learn the rules for becoming well-mannered young adults. Later they would travel to visit us and our new families, where they would share all their wisdom, friendship and love with us all. Betty would also share many homemade things such as noodles, pickles and holiday treats. She made afghans for everyone, sewed dresses for the girls and their dolls. Betty also kept a record of our lives and accomplishments. She had pictures and articles on all her walls showing how proud she was of all of her family. Betty Jane Fox was born March 6, 1929 in Park City, Montana. She grew up on a farm outside Park City, where she met another local, Leonard Vogel, they were married June 2, 1949 (actually they were married July 2, 1949; there is a marriage license and certificate attached). Betty worked most of her adult life for the Yellowstone Co. Health and Welfare Services in Billings. To break the tension of her job, Betty loved to league bowl, other passions included searching for garnets and other semi-precious stones raising African Violets, roses and knitting. they always had a pet dog, mostly Pomeranians. As a testament to her love of the Green Bay Packers, she will be buried in a Green Bay Sweatshirt. Betty loved us as we loved her, there will always be an ache not easily removed that she had gone. Visitation will be from 5-7p.m., Oct. 28, at Smith Funeral Chapel Laurel. Funeral serviced with be 10 a.m., Oct. 29, at Smith Funeral Chapel Laurel with burial in the Park City Cemetery. ********************************************************* Betty was married to one of my mom's (Martha Marie Vogel) brothers-Leonard Vogel.
