Betty was born on August 5, 1926 in Whitley County, Indiana, the daughter of William B. and Blanche P. (Gephart) Hine. She married Harry L. Byall on September 18, 1943 in Roanoke, and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1992. Betty worked at Triad-Utrad in Huntington for 20 years, retiring as supervisor in 1988. She also worked at the Roanoke Memorial Chapel for ten years as a greeter. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke, where she sang in the choir, served as a Eucharistic minister, and cooked for many senior and funeral dinners. She was also president of the Rosary Society and was a member of the American Legion Post #160 Ladies Auxiliary in Roanoke. Survivors include three sons - Phillip L. Byall of Fort Wayne, Mark A. (Connie) Byall of Huntington, and Steven L. (Angie) Byall of Huntington; ten grandchildren, 29 great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sons - Richard D. Byall and David L. Byall.
