She was born Nov. 16, 1946, in Luray and was the daughter of the late Riley L. and Flossie M. Turner. Betty is survived by her husband, Rex A. Griffith Sr., to whom she was married for 50 years; three children, Penny Griffith of Old Town, Alexandria, and Rex A. Griffith Jr. and Patty Griffith, both of Luray; five grandchildren, Nicholas Post, John Barnette, Ashley Post, Alexander Griffith, and Dallas Griffith; and one great-grandson, Kyson Griffith. Family night will be held Friday, Oct. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Luray Church of the Brethren. The funeral service will be held at the Luray Church of the Brethren Saturday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. and meal to follow in the Social Hall of the church.
