Betty was born on March 12,1931, to Charles S and Lula Bernice (Cooper) Bair , on a farm east of Iola, Kansas. She grew up in Iola and attended country school. She married Ralph J. Madill on April 21,1957, in Marysville, Kansas. This union was blessed with two daughters. Betty's great love in life was her family. Growing up the youngest of her siblings, she had extremely special bond with her five sisters and one brother. Into adulthood every weekend was spent with a Bair family gathering. They loved to laugh, dance, cook and truly treasured one another's company. This closeness carried into her role as wife, mother and grandmother. Betty loved to have everyone together under one roof and there was no better host. With her selfless nature she was the heart and soul of the family, she took care of us all. Everyone who knew Betty was better because of it. She brought joy to others with kindness and grace. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Francis Perkins and husband, Ted, Mable Wemmer and husband , Fred, Pauline Swinney and husband , Lowell, Maxine Garver and husband , Junior, and one infant brother. Betty is survived by her husband, Ralph of the home; two daughters, Pamela Link and husband Michael if Edmond, Oklahoma, Darla O'Neil and husband Gary of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma ; four grandchildren , Grant Link of Edmond, Oklahoma, Mallory O'Neil, Morgan Miller and husband Kyle, and Adam O'Neil, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister Lula Bell Smith and husband , Altie of Iola, Kansas and a brother Charles Bair and wife Doris of Cortez, Colorado.
