Description	:	Betty Jean Strodtman, 87, of Scottsbluff, died Saturday, February 19, 2011 at her home. Her funeral service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the Church Of The Nazarene in Scottsbluff with Pastor Darryl Potts officiating. Interment will be held at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering. Visitation is scheduled from 10 am until 6 pm on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff. She married Raymond Strodtman on June 8, 1941 in Syracuse, NE. She loved spending time with her family and friends and over the years enjoyed working at a variety of places. She was a den mother for the Boy Scouts, she collected dolls, was the assistant leader for Children Bible Quiz at the Church of the Nazarene in Scottsbluff and she loved gardening and flowers which she loved to share with all of her neighbors. She is survived by her son Lonnie (Renae) Strodtman of Scottsbluff; daughters Carolyn (Earl) Furrey of Scottsbluff, Dino (Dan) Wernli of Tucson, AZ, Deborah (Sam) Meller of Gordon, NE, Arvilla ‘Bo' (Steve) Fegler of Bradenton, FL; sister Thaylia Irons of Hart, TX; 38 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and loving and caring friends. Her parents, husband Raymond, 1 daughter, 1 son, 2 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 2 great granddaughters, 5 sisters and 1 brother preceded her in death.
