Carr, 95, died on January 1, 2021 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello, IN. She was born on July 4, 1925 in Ockley, IN to the late Vinton and Pearl (Snethen) Ray. On March 18, 1946 In Monticello, IN, she married Louis W. Carr; he passed away on February 8, 1988. Betty had lived most of her life around White and Carroll Counties. Lightning struck a shock of wheat the day she was born; this is the way she lived her life. Betty graduated from Flora High School. She went on to work at Bryan Manufacturing and the Old RCA plant in Monticello. Betty spent a few years sitting with the elderly. Betty enjoyed crocheting, reading and word puzzles. She spent her final years living in the White Oak Health Campus in Monticello. Betty is survived by three daughters; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gary Carr; and four siblings - Vinton Junior Ray, Cora Sheets, Vera Wert and Ruby Mull. Private family services are being held. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at a later date. Burial will be in Idaville Cemetery.
