Description	:	Betty Jean Scercy Knece, 73, the daughter of the late John S. Scercy and the late Nora Rogers Scercy. She retired from AT&T, Charleston, S.C., and also from Bell South, Charlotte. She had been a former resident of James Island, S.C., for more than 20 years before moving back to Kannapolis in 1977. She is survived by her brother, J.C. Scercy, Kannapolis; sister, Barbara Ann Scercy Hope, Kings Mountain; and 11 nieces and nephews; and two great-nieces.	Betty Jean Scercy Knece, 73, the daughter of the late John S.
