(Besst) Siercks at the Military Avenue Hospital in Fremont, Nebraska. Her father was born in Germany, though her paternal grandparents, Julius and Magdalena Siercks, became longtime residents of Fremont. Maternal grandparents were Simon Besst (Dec’d. 1/3/1914) and Joyce Besst, who also lived in Fremont for many years with her daughter Maxine. Betty’s father’s job entailed frequent moving. (Besst) Siercks at the Military Avenue Hospital in Fremont, Nebraska. Her father was born in Germany, though her paternal grandparents, Julius and Magdalena Siercks, became longtime residents of Fremont. Maternal grandparents were Simon Besst (Dec’d. 1/3/1914) and Joyce Besst, who also lived in Fremont for many years with her daughter Maxine. Betty’s father’s job entailed frequent moving. They settled in Grand Island, Nebraska when she started school. They stayed there until she completed 6th grade. She moved back to Fremont for 7th grade, then on to Chicago, Illinis where she completed 8th and 9th grade. Despite all the moving, Betty spent every summer in Fremont and always thought of that as her home town. In 1943, the family moved to Long Beach, California where they lived for the remainder of their lives. Betty completed school in Long Beach at Polytechnic High School where she graduated in 1946. She had two marriages, both ending in divorce. At 18, she was married by a Presbyterian minister on August 28, 1946 to Alfred "Al" Freiburger in Long Beach, California. She was living at 711 Elm Ave., Long Beach as a high school bookkeeper, and Al, 20, was living on Route 2, Ojai, CA and working as a mechanic. Al had been born in San Francisco to Alfred Peter (b.IN) and Rose (Clint) (b. CA) Freiburger. Al and Betty were blessed with a son Steven, born in 1947. In 1949, Betty went to work for the Trust Department at Security Pacific National Bank in Long Beach, California, where she began as a bookkeeper, advancing to Trust Officer, as position which she held until retirement on June 5 1985. Her 2nd marriage, in 1952, was to Floyd Loveall. Betty J Loveall passed away on December 10 2020. Betty was preceded in death by her son Steven A Freiburger on January 8, 2016. Left to cherish her memory are her adopted daughter Mariaelena Guerrero in Long Beach CA, grandson Steven Donahue in Paramont, CA and cousin Carol Sass in Maple Grove MN. Interment in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont with her parents and son.
