She was born to Curtis Lee and Mattie Marie Miller Stewart in Fort Worth, Texas, on August 26, 1939. She was retired from the Union Bank in Wickes, where she was a loan officer, as well as a homemaker. She enjoyed antiques, yard work and flowers, and cherished the time spent with family, especially her children and grandchildren., and was so looking forward to her first great-grandchild soon to be born. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bill... Read More	Betty Jean Stewart Hedge, age 77, a resident of Grannis, Arkansas, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at her home. She was born to Curtis Lee and Mattie Marie Miller Stewart in Fort Worth, Texas, on August 26, 1939. She was retired from the Union Bank in Wickes, where she was a loan officer, as well as a homemaker. She enjoyed antiques, yard work and flowers, and cherished the time spent with family, especially her children and grandchildren., and was so looking forward to her first great-grandchild soon to be born. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bill Stewart, a sister, Maxine Cook, and her husband of over 50 years, Burl Hedge. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, a daughter and son-in-law, three grandsons, two granddaughters, a sister-in-law, a dear friend, she considered a sister and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty Hedge will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, March 11, 2017 in the Church of the Nazarene in Wickes, with Bro. David Baker and Bro. Leon McCleskey officiating. Burial will follow in the Baker Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Visitation will be from 2:00 until service time on Saturday, at the Church of the Nazarene in Wickes.
