Jeanne was preceded in death by her loving husband Edward Charles Maybury in 2002. She is survived by her daughter Jan Sue and Steve Hoyt, from Sedona, Arizona; son Greg and Kate Maybury from Holland, Michigan; and four grandchildren, Heather Hoyt, Christopher, Kyle, and Kevin Maybury. Jeanne and Eddie traveled extensively throughout their marriage having visited all seven continents, fulfilling their lifetime dream. Jeanne had a deep love for history as shown by the restoration of Jeanne’s and Eddie’s “1803 Log School House” now listed in both the Ohio and National Historical Registers. A tireless amateur archivist, Jeanne kept family and community (Shandon) records her entire life and enjoyed sharing information and tidbits she would uncover during the course of her investigations. An outgoing friend to many, Jeanne spent her last years at the Freedom Village Retirement Center in Holland, Michigan, developing deep and loving relationships with several dear friends both at Freedom Village and at Fellowship Reformed Church. Her bright smile and sense of humor will be missed by all.
