Her funeral service will be held Friday, December 1, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at Gering Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ken Boston officiating. Interment will be at West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the chapel. Betty was born on September 15, 1926 in Gering, Nebraska to Graceon and Sarah (Huff) Francisco. She lived most of her younger years and received her education in Western Nebraska, graduating from Lyman High School. She and her sister Evelyn ran a beauty salon in Lyman. She moved to southern California in the mid 1950's, where she worked as a medical receptionist. Later she worked for Lockheed Martin for many years, before retiring. She married Lloyd Snelgrove on November 29, 1955. Her husband, Lloyd was employed at Hollywood 20th Century Fox. She returned to western Nebraska and resided at Northfield Villa until her death. Betty enjoyed bowling, singing in church, flowers and her garden, her cat when she lived in California and Dodgers baseball. Betty was of Episcopal faith. Survivors include her daughter Linda Christian and (Jeff Graber) of Howell, MI; grandchildren Clinton, Sara and Erik; sisters Ann Ashton of Rockport, TX and Maxine Bowman of Shaver lake, CA; sisters-in-law Pauline Francisco and Frances Francisco both of Scottsbluff and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Harry Francisco and Robert Francisco, sisters Ethel Lockwood and Evelyn Francisco, niece Kathy Francisco, nephew James Ashton and great niece Sandy Schwartzkopf.
