Following high school Betty taught at Tama country schools for four years. June 17, 1955 Betty married Glenn Fox, to this union four children were born. Betty became a stay-at-home mother in Belle Plaine until going to work at Belle Plaine Community Schools for 14 years. Betty was known for her volunteer work, she was a gardener and baker. Betty was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn; sons, Glenn Jr. and Richard; brothers, Delbert, Edward and Lawrence; sisters, Ruth, Mary, Gayle, and Myrtle.
