Description	:	Betty Lou was born to Henry Dwane & Mabel Christine (Nelsen) Franklin. The family moved to Atlantic when Betty was still an infant, where her dad operated the Knotty Pine Café. She graduated from Atlantic High School in 1963 and Omaha Commercial Extension School of Business. On January 16-1965, Betty Lou married Larry Purscell at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic, Iowa. Soon after, they moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa and Betty began working for Mutual of Omaha where she was an editor and proofreader. She was a dedicated employee and retired in... Read More	Betty Lou was born to Henry Dwane & Mabel Christine (Nelsen) Franklin. The family moved to Atlantic when Betty was still an infant, where her dad operated the Knotty Pine Café. She graduated from Atlantic High School in 1963 and Omaha Commercial Extension School of Business. On January 16-1965, Betty Lou married Larry Purscell at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic, Iowa. Soon after, they moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa and Betty began working for Mutual of Omaha where she was an editor and proofreader. She was a dedicated employee and retired in 2009 with 36 years of service. On October 22-1982, Betty married Darrell D. Moore at the First Christian Church in Council Bluffs. They shared many memories camping and traveling to California, Colorado and Las Vegas and Cancun, which was a prize from a pull tab on a Taco Bell cup. Betty was an active member of El Bethel Assembly of God, where she participated in women's ministry and music jamboree on Friday nights. She organized the "7 Group" which consisted of good friends gathering for cookouts, birthdays or any chance to get together. Betty's witty ways seemed endless and her sense of humor could often be found incorporated in the words and caring and encouragement in the countless cards she mailed.
