Goldizen December 19, 1952. He preceded her in death January 19, 2006. Growing up in Drakesville, she graduated from Davis County High School. Betty was a member of Christ’s Church. Her family was most important to her. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Becky (Rick) Stoneking of Davenport, Gary (Barbara) Goldizen of Urbandale, Linda (Alan) Bettis of Blakesburg; 10 grandchildren, Zack (Beth) MacKenzie, Stephen (Cindy) Goldizen, Jason (Tracy) Goldizen, Corey (Bre) Garrett, Christy (Matt) Leonard, Danielle, Josie and Jordyn Goldizen, Katie (Michael) Fisher and Adam (Tracy) Bettis; 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Greg Goldizen and a sister, Bonnie Spurgeon. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with Dan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Christ’s Church. OttumwaPost September 23, 2019
