Description	:	Betty Lou Raymond, age 81, of Miles City, Montana, formerly of Aberdeen, South Dakota passed away Sunday, June 03, 2007 at St. Vincent Health Care in Billings, Montana. Betty was born on October 25, 1925 to John and Gretta (Hoar) Ackerson in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Betty attended Aberdeen High School through her junior year and then moved with her family to Ellendale, North Dakota, where she graduated from Ellendale High School in 1944. Read More	Betty Lou Raymond, age 81, of Miles City, Montana, formerly of Aberdeen, South Dakota passed away Sunday, June 03, 2007 at St. Vincent Health Care in Billings, Montana. Betty was born on October 25, 1925 to John and Gretta (Hoar) Ackerson in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Betty attended Aberdeen High School through her junior year and then moved with her family to Ellendale, North Dakota, where she graduated from Ellendale High School in 1944. She attended State Normal Industrial College at Ellendale, ND, and taught for one year at a country school near Ellendale. Betty and Ervin E. "Erv" Raymond were married in Aberdeen on August 22, 1947. They then moved to Ellendale in 1948 and worked together at the Ellendale Cleaners. In 1953 they moved to Tillamook, Oregon and were employed at Model Cleaners until they moved back to Ellendale and purchased the Ellendale Cleaners on January 1, 1960. Erv and Betty owned and operated the Ellendale Cleaners and the Lyric Theatre for many years. Betty then worked in the Ellendale school system cafeteria for twelve years. Erv and Betty returned to Aberdeen in 1997 and lived there until 2005, when they moved to Miles City. Betty enjoyed crafts of all kinds, and was a top-notch hand at pinochle. She adored her grandchildren and loved baking cookies for her family and friends. Betty is survived by her husband, Erv Raymond and her son, Jack (Cyndi) Raymond, all of Miles City; her grandchildren, Chris Raymond, Minneapolis, MN, Carl Raymond, Seattle, WA, and Anna Raymond, Bismarck, ND; her brothers, Ed (Pat) Ackerson of Aberdeen, SD, Ron (Helen) Ackerson of Deadwood, SD, and Rich Ackerson of Aberdeen, SD, her step-mother, Stella Ackerson of Ellendale, ND, and her beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her sister, Dorothy, and her brother, Dennis. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 11, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Miles City with Pastor Derf Bergman officiating. Inurnment will be held on Friday, June 15, 2007 at the Ellendale City Cemetery in Ellendale, ND. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.
