Her final resting place is in East Lawn Memorial Gardens. Betty Lou Martin was born on March 17, 1940, in Kalo, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur A. and Ellen M. (Wegman) Martin. She attended school in the Otho, Lehigh, Duncombe, and Dayton school districts, where she attended high school up through the 11th grade. Betty was a very hard-working woman who not only raised her family but dedicated many years at Dodger Manufacturing as a Seamstress. On March 22nd, 1958, she married Richard Lee Loewen in Eldora, Iowa. They were the parents of three children, Annette, Jerry, and Sherry. Betty enjoyed living life and had a wonderful love for her Garden. She spent many hours in her Garden and also enjoyed canning her vegetables from her garden. If she wasn't in the garden she could be found reading, sewing, doing crafts, and in her younger years attending garage sales and local flea markets. She loved all that she did, but Betty's number one joy came from the time spent making memories with her family and friends. Surviving are her children, Annette Loewen, Jerry Loewen, and Sherry (Monte) Anway; grandchildren, Stephanie (Kyle) Littlepage, Cheyenne (Kenyon) Gildard, and Austin Anway; great-grandchildren; one sister, Joan Lohr; one sister-in-law, Paula Martin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Loewen; parents, Arthur and Ellen Martin; in-laws Ray and Idella Loewen; siblings, Sandra Martin, Linda Sue Martin, Dennis Martin, Florence Diekman, Gene Martin, Mary Bell, Sherry Watt, Elsie Wyatts, and Mabel Bell.
