Description	:	Betty Louise (Barlow) Hart, 91, of Sequim and formerly of Spirit Lake, Iowa, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at the Sequim Health and Rehabilitation Center from complications of a fall that broke her hip and arm. She was born Betty Louise Barlow on August 22, 1924, in Mason City, Iowa, daughter of Fred and Marie Barlow. She graduated from Los Angeles High School. Read More	Betty Louise (Barlow) Hart, 91, of Sequim and formerly of Spirit Lake, Iowa, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at the Sequim Health and Rehabilitation Center from complications of a fall that broke her hip and arm. She was born Betty Louise Barlow on August 22, 1924, in Mason City, Iowa, daughter of Fred and Marie Barlow. She graduated from Los Angeles High School. After graduating, Betty worked as a welder on the West Coast in support of the war efforts during World War II. After the war, Betty returned home, where she married Harry Yarnes of Spirit Lake, and together they built the family-owned road construction company while raising their three sons. In 1973, Betty married Harry Lewis, also of Spirit Lake, and following his death went back to school and earned a nursing degree. She spent the following years working as a nurse at the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Spirit Lake until her retirement to Sequim in 1983. On November 25, 1989, Betty married Dale Hart of Sequim. She and Dale enjoyed traveling and sightseeing and each other's company. Survivors include two sons, Ted Yarnes of Rio Vista, California, and Todd Yarnes of Sequim; two granddaughters, Kristin (Yarnes) Matejcek of Plymouth, Minnesota, and Kelly Yarnes of Sequim; five grandsons, Noal Yarnes of Wichita, Kansas, Christopher Yarnes of Winters, California, Michael Yarnes of Seattle, Washington, Nicholas Yarnes of Kwajalein Atoll in the South Pacific and Joseph Yarnes of Auburn, Washington; along with four great-grandchildren. She was greatly admired and loved by her friends and family. She will be missed. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Timothy Yarnes, along with Harry Yarnes, Harry Lewis, Dale Hart and her parents.
