She was born Dec. 1, 1930, in Earlton, KS, to Dennis Edgar and Beulah Marie Diedel-Shultz. She graduated from Chanute High School and attended junior college for two years. She married George W. Wallace on Oct. 5, 1957, in Dillion, SC. He preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1993. Wallace retired from Chanute Wal-Mart after 13 years of employment. She enjoyed her grandchildren, sewing, and attending a weekly Bible Book Study of Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors include a son, Darren Wallace, Urbana, KS; a daughter, Judy Vaughan, Chanute, KS; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Vernon Shultz, Chanute, KS; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. a brother, Dennis Shultz. and two sisters, Geneva Trent and Mary Bartholomew. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, at the Urbana Cemetery, rural Chanute. Friends may call from 12:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Memorials may be made in her name to the charity of the donor's choice. ***************************************
