She attended grade school in Watertown, South Dakota and graduated from high school in Colton, South Dakota. Betty worked as a dental assistant in Dell Rapids and Brookings. She was united in marriage to Rollie Harrington in Colton on November 2, 1956 and loved homemaking, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was united in marriage to Rollie Harrington in Colton on November 2, 1956 and loved homemaking, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Brookings Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for 15 years. Betty died on Monday, May 16, 2005 at her home at Lake Poinsett at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 14 days. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Rollie of Lake Poinsett; one daughter, Susan Foley and her husband Doug of Hayti, SD; two sons, Steve Harrington and his wife Julie of Corcoran, MN and Mike Harrington and his wife Nancy of Maple Grove, MN; 14 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Fritz and her husband Ed of Watertown, SD, Bernice Kock and her husband Leonard of Sioux Falls; two brothers, Robert Olson and his wife Gloria of Pequot Lakes, MN, David Olson and his wife Jan of Ft. Meyers, FL; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
