Betty, beloved mother and grandmother, was grateful to have shared her life with her 6 children, 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Betty, beloved mother and grandmother, was grateful to have shared her life with her 6 children, 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Betty Ruth Burney was born on a farm North of Beresford on December 26, 1928. Betty attended Augustana College and graduated from Sioux Valley Nursing School. In 1954, she married Roger Reynolds. After his military career, they moved from Portland, Oregon to Sioux Falls. Family, friends and faith were the center of her universe. As a gracious hostess she entertained friends and family, with a special focus on family birthday celebrations making each one special. Grateful for having shared her life with her husband Roger, caring for him with Parkinson’s Disease for 11 years until he passed away in 2011. Memorial Services will begin at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Central Church in Sioux Falls. Betty will be buried with private family services next to her husband Harry Roger Reynolds at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton, SD.
