She married Edward J. Krafka June 13, 1947 and he preceded her in death January 10, 2005. A 1941 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Betty worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 22 years. She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, the Telephone Pioneers and the Ottumwa Regional Health Center Auxiliary – lifeline dept. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Thomas Edward; brothers, Willard “Red”, Wendall, Don, Jack, Bill and Bob Carr; and sisters, Naomi Stufflebeam and Jessie Jones. Her body has been cremated. Private memorial service will be held at a later date. Reece Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
