Mrs. Hicklin was born September 1, 1928 in Rowan County the daughter of the late Georgia Barringer Trexler and N.A. Trexler. She graduated from Boyden High School and retired from the City of Charlotte Motor Transport. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Rufty Senior Center, Charlotte Mecklenburg Retirement Association and State Retirement Association.
