Beula Jeane Muselman was born on October 21, 1918, the daughter of Taylor Elmer and Hester (Jones) Muselman. She graduated with the Truro High School class of 1935, and then attended Beauty School in Des Moines. She later owned & operated Beula’s Beauty Shop in Truro. On February 28, 1942, Beula was united in marriage to Merrill V. Lamm in New Orleans. After WWII, Beula and Merrill made their home in Omaha for a brief time following Merrill’s honorable discharge from the United States Army Air Force. In 1947, the couple moved to the Ogden area where they farmed until 1991. Merrill passed away on August 31, 2017. Beula was an active member of the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. She was an avid painter and artist and belonged to the Boone Brush & Palette Club. Some of her other favorite hobbies included flowers and gardening, watching the birds that would visit her feeders, and playing cards. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Angela (John) Lewis of Council Bluffs, IA, Ann (Ray) Polito of Granger, IA, Alana (Charles) Beck of Johnston, IA, and Alan (Carolyn) Lamm of Ogden, IA; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 75 years, Merrill V. Lamm, son Arlen Lamm, two daughters, Annise Thompson and Anita Lamm; three brothers; and one sister. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
