Charles Miller of the First Christian Church. Mrs. Kerry died Sept. 29, 1982 in Rockford after suffering a stroke on Sept. 1 and was buried next to her parents. She was born to John M. and Jenny E. Curry southeast of Adel on April 18, 1908. She graduated from Adel High School in 1927, taught at a country school for a year, and then worked at Younkers in Des Moines in the cosmetic department as the Charles of the Ritz representative. Later, she attended the University of Iowa at Iowa City. She met her husband, William Kerry, at Younkers and married him on June 24, 1938. The couple lived in Chicago for many years.
