She was born Oct. 17, 1917, on a farm near Max, to Grover and Anna (Brynoff) Lusk, and attended country school near Max. On Nov.15, 1941, Beulah was united in marriage to Harold M. She was born Oct. 17, 1917, on a farm near Max, to Grover and Anna (Brynoff) Lusk, and attended country school near Max. On Nov.15, 1941, Beulah was united in marriage to Harold M. Allen at the Pleasant Valley Friends Church. They farmed near Parks, for many years, raising cattle, hogs, chicken and grain, until their retirement in 1985. After retiring they moved to Benkelman. She was a volunteer at the Hester Home in Benkelman, and at the Dundy County Senior Center where she served as president. She was a member of the Methodist Church for more than 50 years, teaching Sunday School for several years at the Park United Methodist Church. In 2003, due to health issues, she and Harold moved to the Gold Crest Retirement Village in Adams. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Anna Lusk; a brother, Roy Lusk; sisters, Ina Whitney and Martha Forbes; a son, Lynn Allen; and four infant grandsons. Survivors include her husband, Harold Allen of Adams; a son, Gail Allen and wife, Terrina of Rock Hill, SC.; daughters, Patricia Severson and husband, Ron of Panama and Linda Sanford and husband, Gary of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sister, Bessie Stolzenberg of Hettinger, N.D.; sisters-in-law, Darlene Lusk of McCook, Opal Dunn and Lenore Burke, both of North Platte, and Mary Allen of Denver, Colo.; brother-in-law, Harold Forbes of Fort Morgan, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. Graveside committal services will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Benkelman Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at the United Methodist Church in Benkelman at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Brian Fong officiating. Services will conclude at the church. Visitation is today until 7 p.m. and Saturday, 9:30-11 a.m., at Forch Funeral Chapel in Benkelman. Memorials may be given in her name to the Benkelman United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Forch Funeral Chapel of Benkelman.
