Beulah Wentzel was born June 15, 1907, in Missouri. She moved to Hooper as a child and was a 1920 graduate of Hooper High School. She taught school in rural Dodge and Saunders counties for 15 years. Biram, 93, of Fremont died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at Waverly Care Center in Waverly. Beulah Wentzel was born June 15, 1907, in Missouri. She moved to Hooper as a child and was a 1920 graduate of Hooper High School. She taught school in rural Dodge and Saunders counties for 15 years. She married Andrew Biram Nov. 2, 1926, at Glenwood, Iowa. They farmed in the North Bend and Nickerson areas until retiring in 1981 and moving to Fremont. Her spouse died March 28, 1994. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Fremont. She was former member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 200 of Fremont and several card clubs. Survivors include: a son, Ted (and wife, Clara) Biram of Hooper; a daughter, Judy (Mrs. Ken) Ward of Lincoln; a sister-in-law, Gladys Wentzel of Fremont; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and five sisters. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hooper Cemetery in Hooper with the Rev. Greg Hall officiating. Visitation will be 3-9 tonight with family receiving friends 5-8 tonight at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will continue 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hooper Cemetery in Hooper. Additional Note by David Fauss: Beulah was also preceded in death by an infant baby son or daughter, who is buried in an unmarked grave in Hooper Cemetery, and by several other siblings who died at very young ages. There were a total of 12 children born to per parents, David and Katie Wentzel.
