He was born in Huxley, Iowa, on Dec. 24, 1912, the son of Clarence and Alice (Gord) Hill. Survivors include two daughters, Nona (Phillip) Jordan and Phyllis Geer, both of Huxley; one brother, Clyde (Lois) Hill of Huxley; and five grandchildren, Jim (Sherry), Donald and Brian Jordan, and Scott and Chad Geer. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2006 at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley with the Rev. Donald Dovre of Palestine Lutheran Church in Huxley officiating.
