Beverly Ann Bohl was born January 1, 1929, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, to Robert and Mildred (Swimm) Bohl. Read More	Beverly Ann (Bohl) Allbee, 91, of Mellette, SD, passed away at her home on Sunday, May 31, 2020. A public graveside service was Thursday, June 4th at the Mellette Cemetery in Mellette. Beverly Ann Bohl was born January 1, 1929, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, to Robert and Mildred (Swimm) Bohl. She grew up on a farm south of Brentford, South Dakota with her three brothers: Bob, Tom, and Donald "Kayo". She attended school in Brentford and graduated from the Simpson Bible Institute of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Seattle, Washington. Beverly married Donald Sandquist and together they had four children: Susan, Paul, Marianne, and Russell. After they divorced, she moved to Mellette, South Dakota with the children. She later married Leonard Allbee. Our mother was a talented lady and music was a big part of her life. Among her many talents was playing the trombone, organ and piano and could always be counted on to play anytime she was asked, for church, weddings, funerals, and other events. She loved to sing, and her voice soared to the heavens. Mom took classes in woodworking and ceramics, was a great seamstress, and her cocoa logs at Christmas and her radio rolls are things of legend. At an early age mom found her calling with Christ and the church became an important part of her life. She was church secretary for many years and was responsible for preparing The Messenger. We enjoyed reading The Secretary’s Spot for she would often share stories of her life. Among the many things she will be remembered for are her sense of humor, her kindness, she was honest to fault, and her love of her children, grandchild, three grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Mom would talk to anyone and often come away with their life story in 3 minutes or less. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and would do them with an ink pen and in cursive. Mom watched Jeopardy every day and you would be hard pressed to get the answer before she did. She was a humble person and a good example to everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bob, Tom, and Donald "Kayo" and son Paul. She is survived by her children Susan, Marianne, and Russell, grandchild Jason, great-grandchildren Skye Ann, Ariana, and Zane, great-great grandchildren Lucca, Lilith, and August, and her many nieces and nephews.
