She grew up on a farm east of Sisseton and attended Easter Township No. 3 County School. After completing her education, she returned to the family farm and helped her parents until she married Donald German on Nov 21, 1950, at Webster. After completing her education, she returned to the family farm and helped her parents until she married Donald German on Nov 21, 1950, at Webster. Survivors include her husband of Peever; one son, Raymond German of Peever; two brothers, Floyd Fonder of Deadwood and Franz Fonder of Whitewood; eight sisters, Mrs Elroy (Bernice) Baker of Washougal, WA, Mrs Edwin (Beatrice) Bakken of Bruno, MN, Mrs Wynsel (Bethel) Johnson, Mrs Bonnie Janisch and Mrs William (Bernita) Jennen, all of Sisseton, Mrs George (Betty) Sommerfeld of Montevideo, MN, Mrs Myron (Belvia) Steiner of Lake City and Mrs Francis (Barbara) Janisch of Eden; two grandsons and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and one sister. Honorary casketbearers were of her nephews and family members. Casketbearers were Mark German, Scott German, Michael Lahammer, Roger Johnson, Jim Jamisch and Kim Fonder. The funeral was at Peever Lutheran Church. The Rev. Steve Moberg officiated. Organist was Kim Lawrence and the soloists were Alpha Behrens and Marsha Lahammer.
