Beverly was born in Eden on October 30, 1932, the daughter of Glenn Henry Simpson and Elizabeth Price Simpson, both deceased. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold "Wink" Hoover, her son, Joe Hoover, and her sister-in-law, Becky Strutton. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Wendy Hoover and Holly Hoover, both of Eden; her daughter-in-law, Vickie Merritt Hoover; her siblings, Susan Simpson Hall and husband Danny of Southern Pines, Pete Simpson and wife Phyllis of Eden; her brother-in-law, Jack Strutton; her grandchildren, Burt Jenkins and wife Cara, Brandon Raeburn and wife Allison, Philip Raeburn, Wiley Hoover, Bryant Redd; her great-grandchildren, Avery Jenkins, Caroline Jenkins, Luke Rogers, Jacob Raeburn, and Charlotte Raeburn; her other beloved grandkids, Dr. Marlana Bollinger, Chris Tatum, Christian Tatum, and her special animals, Lacy, Charlie, Crew, Pattie, and Speedy. A service of remembrance will be held at 2 pm Saturday, January 22, 2022, at El Bethel Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 8 pm Friday at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home.
