Born in Meisners Section, he was a son of the late Fred and Minnie (Deal) Sarty. He worked in the woods cutting pulpwood and with Kirk’s Tree Company and then 31 years with the Department of Natural Resources. He also worked at several other smaller jobs. Read More	Beverly Gordon Sarty Age 80, of North River, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Meisners Section, he was a son of the late Fred and Minnie (Deal) Sarty. He worked in the woods cutting pulpwood and with Kirk’s Tree Company and then 31 years with the Department of Natural Resources. He also worked at several other smaller jobs. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, North River which he attended faithfully, almost every Sunday. He took part in many aspects of the church and was always willing to help with anything that needed to be done. He was a kind and loving husband who would do anything for anyone. He loved being in the outdoors and especially when he was working with his tractor. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Erna (Robar); sisters, Barbara Robar, Bridgewater; Deborah (Alan) Bent, North River; brothers, Willis (Audrey) Sarty, Bridgewater; Ottis Sarty, Dartmouth; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Beatrice DeLong; brothers, John and Wayne. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Funeral service 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 14 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Rev. David Whynot officiating. Private family burial in the church cemetery to follow. No flowers by request, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
