Beverly was born on July 1, 1937 in Roanoke, the daughter of Arthur D. and Margaret I. (Stogdill) Hartley. She graduated from Roanoke High School in 1955 and married Wallace P. "Wally" Johnson on June 4, 1955 in Huntington. Beverly was the owner of Roan-Oak Antiques in Roanoke and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Rosary Society. Beverly was an avid gardener and loved painting and attending auctions. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Wallace P. "Wally" Johnson of Roanoke, daughters Brenda Johnson of Huntington and Angela "Angie" (Joel) Hettmansperger of Indianapolis, sons Jeffrey (Angela) Johnson of Indianapolis and Zane (Angie) Johnson of Prescott Valley, Arizona, ten grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
