Perkins, 95, formerly of Dixfield, died peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, September 5, 2016, after a lengthy stay at the Pinnacle Health and Rehab (Victorian Villa) in Canton. Born in Waltham, Mass., August 8, 1921, she was the daughter of Charlotta and Charles Ellis. She attended Dixfield and Mexico schools, graduating from Mexico High School in1940. Perkins, 95, formerly of Dixfield, died peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, September 5, 2016, after a lengthy stay at the Pinnacle Health and Rehab (Victorian Villa) in Canton. Born in Waltham, Mass., August 8, 1921, she was the daughter of Charlotta and Charles Ellis. She attended Dixfield and Mexico schools, graduating from Mexico High School in1940. Following graduation, she married Russell Perkins on June 29, 1940. They lived in Florida, Gardiner and Westbrook, before returning to Dixfield, where they made their home for more than 60 years and where they raised their five children. Beverly retired from the Dixfield Nursing Home, where she had worked for several years. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Dixfield Grange and the Monday morning breakfast group. Beverly was loved and will be sadly missed by her survivors, two sons, Ricky Perkins and his wife Kathy, of Livermore, Barry Perkins of Mexico, Janice Perkins of Scarborough, Gail Zachte and husband Lee, of Airway Heights, Wash., and Judy Muse of Coco Beach, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, Melissa Burgess, Rusty and Randy Perkins, Michelle and Mark Dubois, Heidi Riddell, Heather Blakeslee, Sandy Lamb, Andrea Muse, Jeff and Daniel Weible and Ann Russ; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Charles Ellis of Auburn and Carroll Ellis of Dixfield. Beverly was predeceased by her husband, Russell, on December 30, 2004; three brothers, Morton, Edward and Kenneth Ellis; and four sisters, Iola Frost, Frances Blood, Maxie Turbide and June Brewer. The family would like to thank the staff of the Pinnacle Health and Rehab (Victorian Villa) for the compassionate care they showed Beverly during her stay and toward the family. FUNERAL NOTICE PERKINS - Beverly L., 95, formerly of Dixfield, died peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, September 5, 2016. A graveside service will be held in the spring.
