Bradley, Sr. of Holyoke was born on October 8, 1933 in Benkelman, Nebraska, the son of Charles Thomas Bradley and Emma Evelyn Losey Bradley. He passed away Friday, August 15, 1997 at his home in Holyoke at the age of 63. Bradley attended school in Benkelman, Nebraska, and joined the United States Navy in 1953. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Reiman on May 24, 1955. Following the Korean War and his discharge from the Navy, Bill attended Universal Trade School in Omaha, Nebraska, where he specialized in auto body repair. Bill and Marjorie moved their family and business to Holyoke in May of 1971, where he worked until his retirement in December of 1995. Bill L. Bradley, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Emma Bradley; three brothers, Floyd, Lloyd and Irwin Bradley; a sister, Mary Carey; and a granddaughter, Precious Carruthers. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie E. Bradley of Holyoke; his two sons, Bill Bradley, Jr. and his wife, Duanna, and their children, Kristol, Melissa and Blair, and Bob Bradley and wife, Karon and their children, Dylan, Emily and Bailey Jo, all of Holyoke; his two daughters, Delna Carruthers and husband, Randy and their children, Katie and Brian of Sterling, JoLene Shaffer and husband, Jack, and their daughters, Adrienne and Jeanette of Wake Forest, North Carolina; two sisters, Vivian Osborn of Benkelman, Nebraska and Delna Gunther of Wauneta, Nebraska; and by many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and by many friends. Funeral services for Billy Lee Bradley, Sr. were held Monday, August 18, 1997 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Holyoke with Reverend Jim Mort officiating. Interment followed at Holyoke Memorial Park.
