Description	:	Billie "Bill" Harold Fyfe, 84, of rural Minatare, Nebraska, went to be with his Lord and was reunited with his wife; he now sees clearly, breathes deeply and walks briskly. Bill passed away at home on his farm on November 10, 2011. Bill was born August 20, 1927, in Columbus, Nebraska, to Harold and Mae Schmid Fyfe. Bill graduated from Shelby High School in 1944, serving in the U.S Army from February 1946 to April 1947. He served as sergeant of the motor pool at Luzon, near Manila, Philippine Islands. Bill lived in rural Polk County until the spring of 1949, when he moved to Albin, Wyoming, with his folks. He married Dolores Louise Crock of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, on April 22, 1951, in Scottsbluff Nebraska. Bill and Dolores moved to Elk Mountain, Wyoming, in 1953 where Bill worked as a cowboy and ranch hand for Palm Livestock. In 1953 Bill and his father purchased a farm near Minatare. Bill and Dolores moved their young family to the nearby Jessup place north of McGrew in 1959 to help his parents with the farm. There they built a herd of Hereford cattle in which he took great pride. They lived there until 1987, when they moved to their farm east of Minatare. Along with farming and ranching, Bill also worked as a dryer foreman for the Great Western Sugar Company during campaign for nearly 30 years. Both at work and in his personal life he was known for his generosity, honesty and fairness. Over the years, Bill enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids participate in sports. He loved visiting with neighbors, friends and family and was an avid Cornhusker fan. Bill is survived by: son, Alan Fyfe (Joy), of Moline, Illinois, daughters: Linda Fyfe Collins (Ron) of Olympia, Washington; Billie Jeanne Fyfe of Englewood, Colorado; and Karen Fyfe Posten (Rob) of Torrington, Wyoming; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson; sisters: Shirley Fyfe Johnson of Central City, Nebraska; Betty Fyfe Hohndorf of Columbus, Nebraska; Doris Mae Fyfe of Omaha, Nebraska; and Carol Fyfe Goranson of Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, sister (Mary), and twin stillborn brothers. Graveside services were at the West Lawn Cemetery, Gering, NE.
