Jean was born in Celina, TN to parents T.V. and Dorothy Brown. She grew up in Oak Ridge where she graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1954. Read More	Retired from Civil Service Billie Jean Crowe, 81, of Clinton, passed away at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Jean was born in Celina, TN to parents T.V. and Dorothy Brown. She grew up in Oak Ridge where she graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1954. She moved to Clinton in 1977 where she raised her family and resided at the time of death. Mrs. Crowe had worked at AEC/DOE and ATDL Atmospheric Turbulence Division Laboratory. She retired from the Civil Service. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William G. Crowe, her parents, and brother, V.L. Brown. Mrs. Crowe is survived by daughters, Jill Wagner of Clinton, and Kelly Norton and husband Steve of Nashville; grandchildren Sara and Abby Norton, and Steven and Helen Wagner. She was blessed with many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Crowe was a life-long member of the Church of Christ and had a very strong faith in God. She attended the Clinton Church of Christ where she enjoyed the Silver Saints events and cherished the friendships made. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family and friends. Jean was loved by all who knew her. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Weatherford Mortuary from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary at 1:00 p.m. with Richard Bentley officiating. Graveside service immediately following at Anderson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Clinton Church of Christ, 500 N Main St., Clinton, TN 37716.
