Description	:	Cowboy left this earth on the night of Feb. 13, 2017 in Yuma, Arizona, after a courageous battle with cancer and a TBI. He was born to Hazel and Crawford in Stanberry Missouri. He attended school in Hastings Nebraska, after graduating he joined the Navy, returning to Hastings where he met his wife, Linda. They had two daughters Juanita and Lisa. They moved to Bremerton, Washington, where Billy started working in the Foundry at PSNS. He was the apprentice instructor when retiring in 1993. They had two daughters Juanita and Lisa. They moved to Bremerton, Washington, where Billy started working in the Foundry at PSNS. He was the apprentice instructor when retiring in 1993. After retiring he became a snowbird moving to Country Roads in Yuma. His biggest passion in life was motorcycles. He was an avid motorcyclist up to his accident resulting in a traumatic brain injury. He belonged to the Royal Checkmates in Bremerton, serving as president of the club. He had a a great interest of working with metals and the tooling of leather. He came up with some very creative Harleys using these skills, appearing in the Kitsap Sun paper twice on separate hogs. He was a man of many talents, building from the ground up a miniature replica of a semi, and a car named Christina which were both road certified. Other hobbies he enjoyed were creating planters and iron work with horse shoes,archery,shooting (fast draw and target), fishing, flying ultra lights and country dancing.He enjoyed attending the family reunions. He leaves behind his loves of his life, his two daughters, Juanita (Dale) Coyle and Lisa Stephenson; grandson, Brandon Coyle; sister, Margaret (Butch) Tredway; and sister-in-law, Vicki of Post Falls, Idaho; his ex-wife, Linda (Jack) Ecklund and sister-in-law, April Lange of Port Orchard; his Aunt Iola (who named him) of Tacoma; cousin, William McNeese; nephew, Brian Reece (Marina) Tredway of Colorado; niece, Tracy (Alco) of the Netherlands; nephew, Raymond and niece, Donna, of Nebraska. He also leaves behind his good friends, Rick Damlo, Carol Mattox,Fred Hardin, Mac and Maudley, and many other friends too numerous to name. He was preceded in death by his mother; father; sister, Twila; and brother, Ron. The family would like to thank his caregivers in Yuma: Lona Rozyzki, April Thamason and a special thanks to Sandra Mendoza. At his request there will no services.
