Born May 1, 1951 in Greenville, SC he was a son of the late Glenn Burdette and the late Ruby Gray Burdette. Billy was a member of Eastlan Baptist Church. He was an avid Clemson fan and a long-time IPTAY member. He retired as an engineer from Norfolk Southern Railroad after thirty-five years. Born May 1, 1951 in Greenville, SC he was a son of the late Glenn Burdette and the late Ruby Gray Burdette. Billy was a member of Eastlan Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Jan, Billy is survived by one son, Maxie Burdette and his wife, Stephanie, of Simpsonville; two grandchildren, Riley and Ben; one brother, Gray Burdette and his wife, Nancy, of Simpsonville; and one sister, Barbara Watson and her husband, Mike, of Greenville. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home, Simpsonville, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Eastlan Baptist Church at 1:00 PM with Dr. Benjamin Littlejohn officiating. Interment will be in Graceland East Memorial Park, 2206 Woodruff Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29681. Memorials may be made to: Eastlan Baptist Church, 625 South Pleasantburg Dr, Greenville, SC 29607 Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
