Donnelly, 85, a resident of the Redwood Manor Mobile Home Park at 1405 Albia Road, died Wednesday at 1:45 p.m. at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. She was born Oct. 17, 1886, in Wapello County, the daughter of Douglas and Serena Gilliland McCarty and had lived in the Ottumwa area most of her life. She was married to Gay P. Donnelly, 85, a resident of the Redwood Manor Mobile Home Park at 1405 Albia Road, died Wednesday at 1:45 p.m. at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. She was born Oct. 17, 1886, in Wapello County, the daughter of Douglas and Serena Gilliland McCarty and had lived in the Ottumwa area most of her life. She was married to Gay P. Donnelly, July 28, 1909, in Ottumwa. He died in 1963. Surviving are three sons, Kermit, Dwight and Gay Donnelly, all of Ottumwa; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs.. Florence Strunk of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel. The Rev. James Russell of the Willard Street United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Shaul Cemetery.
