Description	:	Blanche Popma Died Jan. 14th Death dealt a cruel blow to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Abel Popma of Center township when their eight-year-old daughter Blanche succumbed to an attack of spinal meningitis. She was taken sick nearly two weeks ago and later was removed to the Sacred Heart hospital in LeMars where she was given every assistance known to medical science but Tuesday morning, Jan. 14th, life departed from the pain racked body. No. 6, Center township, sang and accompanied the remains to its last resting place. Blanche was a bright and loving child. Her sweet disposition won for her many friends outside of the family circle, which is comprised of her parents, three brothers, Frank of Orange City, and Delbert and Lloyd at home, and three sisters, Mrs. Florence Vander Steeg of Orange City and Madge and Muriel at home.
