Mrs. Stevens was born in Conway, SC, a daughter of the late Joe C. and Rosa Todd Carroll. In addition to her husband of 48 years, she was also preceded in death by two sisters; Dollie Herring and Maye Floyd. Mrs. Stevens was formerly employed by AVX Corporation in Myrtle Beach and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Myrtle Beach. Mrs. Stevens was formerly employed by AVX Corporation in Myrtle Beach and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Myrtle Beach. Survivors include her two children; Chris Stevens and his wife, Siobhan, of Loris, Phyllis S. McDowell and her husband, Buddy, of Myrtle Beach; three grandchildren, Shana Shelley and her husband, Heath,, Jill Kouche and her husband, Derek,, Christina Sessions and her husband, Brandon; four great grandchildren, Heath, Heather, Harper, and Declan; and five great great grandchildren, Kingston, Maddie, Brock, Deacon, and Aubrey. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 07, 2016 at Hillcrest Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Wayne Brown officiating. Entombment will immediately follow at Hillcrest Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends following the service at the mausoleum chapel.
