Miss Blanche Fairbanks was born at Monticello, about thirty years ago, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Fairbank. About four years ago she was united in marriage with Mr. E. Carson, and for a time they resided in Coggon, where Mr. Carson was superintendent of the public schools. Two years ago the family moved to the farm northwest of Manchester. Mrs. Carson was a graduate of Monticello High school, and also of Cornell college, at Mt. Vernon. In her early years she was a member of the Presbyterian church, but after her marriage she united with the Methodist Episcopal church. She leaves to mourn her death the husband, now confined to his bed with influenza, and a little daughter, who was born on December 30th, 1919; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Fairbanks of Monticello, and a sister living in New York, and several brothers. Mrs. Carson's death brings peculiar sadness to the home. Never in the world is a mother needed so much in a home as in the case of the Carson family. Mrs. Carson was a fine type of Christian woman and possessed many traits of character which endeared her to all of the people in the neighborhood. It is difficult to understand why one who has apparently all to live for should be summoned from the busy scenes of life so early in her noble career. The sorrow that is caused by Mrs. Carson's untimely death comes with crushing force upon the husband, left with the care of a baby, and to the parents of the young woman, who loved her and made possible for her to have the best that was their's to give--a thorough education in a Christian school. In this great calamity the family has the profound sympathy of their neighbors' and friends. Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of the sister from New York.
