"DEATH TAKES HEAVY TOLL Many Families Invaded During the Past Week." The family of Wm. Stoll, living three miles south of Lamoni, was stricken with the "flu" a week ago. Being unable to secure help to call for the afflicted ones, on account of so much sickness in the community, his son Eddie and wife, who were near neighbors to the father, went home to help care for the suffering ones and they themselves were immediately stricken with the dreaded disease. The young wife dying the following Friday and was buried on Saturday. Sunday morning the mother passed away. The son Eddie has been in a critical condition but is better as we go to press. The rest of the family is improving. This is a heavy blow to Mr. Stoll and his family, who moved into our community two years ago from eastern Iowa.
