Kimble Obituary for Blanche Vonville Blanche Marie Vonville of Sudlersville, Maryland, died Wednesday, December 6, 2006 in the Chester River Hospital Center in Chestertown, Maryland. She was 85. Blanche M. Vonville was born October 20, 1921 the daughter of the late Theodore Carroll and Mary Jane Holden Carroll. Mrs. Vonville worked in the hosiery plant in Chestertown, Maryland for several years. She was the first female hired to work in production at Delmarva Sash and Door Co. in Barclay, Maryland. After several years at Delmarva Sash and Door Co. she went to work for the Playtex Corp. in Dover, Delaware, and worked there for ten years. After leaving Playtex she worked providing care in several homes as well as her own for seniors. Her first husband, Edgar Kimble died in 1944. Her second husband, Earl Elmer Coleman, died in 1965. She married Charles Vonville, who preceded her in death in 1994. Mrs. Vonville loved gardening, cleaning and sewing. She was a member of the Marvin Memorial United Methodist Church in Barclay, Maryland. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Edna Morris, Ethel Myers and Alice Haggerty. Mrs. Vonville is survived by five daughters: Betty Jane Starkey of Sudlersville, MD, Charlotte Elizabeth Blunt of Greensboro, MD, Carolyn Marie Pedicone of Chestertown, MD, Sarah Lorraine Dove of Henderson, MD, and Virginia Lee Plugge of Sudlersville, MD; one son: Edgar Theodore Kimble of Sudlersville, MD; two sisters: Helen Russum of Chestertown, MD, and Virginia Hopkins of Fredrica, DE; thirteen grandchildren; six step grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
