( Wilkinson) Jessiman, 98, of 280 Providence- New London Turnpike, North Stonington, died peacefully on Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, 2006, at Mary Elizabeth Nursing Center in Mystic. She was the beloved wife of the late Edwin M. Jessiman. Born in North Stonington on Sept. 13, 1908, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary ( Morgan) Wilkinson. She was the beloved wife of the late Edwin M. Jessiman. Born in North Stonington on Sept. 13, 1908, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary ( Morgan) Wilkinson. Mrs. Jessiman had been employed in the candy department of Woolworth's in Westerly for several years. Blanche was a member of the Second Baptist Church in North Stonington and the Groton Bible Chapel. She was an avid quilter. She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Edwin M. Jessiman and his wife Dorothy of Whiting, Maine, and John W. Jessiman of Appomattox, Va. She also leaves her sisters and brother, Annie Platt of Farmington, Maine, Gertrude Wells of Old Mystic, Richard Wilkinson of Punta Gorda, Fla., Irene Johnson of Noank, and Mary Barber of Mystic; five grandchildren, John Jessiman and wife Mary Jessiman of New York, Kevin Jessiman of Courtland Manor, N. Y., Robert Jessiman of Baileyville, Maine, Walter Jessiman of Culter, Maine, and Martin Jessiman of Atlanta, Ga.; three greatgrandchildren, Trevor Jessiman, Cierra Blanche Jessiman and Channing Jessiman; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Carroll Wilkinson, Beryl Maine, Royden Wilkinson, Eleanor Wilkinson, Elizabeth Scott and Hilda Page. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. in the Buckler- Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, North Stonington.
