By 1930 they were in Concrete town, Skagit County, WA. In 1940 they were in Kapowsin, Pierce County, WA. On 18 Jul 1941, Blanche married Ralph Edward Dindot who died 21 May 1961. Blanche next married William R. Lofgren on 27 Dec 1962, whose first wife Frances had died 19 Sep 1960. Blanche's sister Eleanor was a witness at both weddings. Blanche had no known children. There is confusion about when Walter and Katherine were married as well as her maiden name. Walter married first on 25 Aug 1910 in Seattle to Emily W Harkins who was 20 years of age and said she was born in South Bend, WA. She said her parents were Gust Harkins and Wendla Wilson, both born in Sweden. On 22 April 1910, Gust and Wendla Harkins (both born in Finland) were enumerated in Silver Bow County, MT, probably in Butte. Also in the family were step-daughters Emla and Hilda. Emla was 21, born in Canada, and Hilda was 17, born in WA. Emily/Emla was not located in the 1900 census or after her marriage to Walter. Emily and Hilda were listed as living together and both working as waiter (waitresses) in the 1910 Seattle City Directory. Walter and Katherine’s first child was Blanche, born 12 March 1914 in Canada. Their second child was Eleanor, born 23 Sep 1917 in Seattle. The only marriage found for Walter and Katherine is when they married on 7 Aug 1954 in Bozeman, MT. It is not known if Walter was divorced from Emily Harkins, or if the 1954 marriage was a first marriage for Walter and Katherine. When Katherine married Walter in 1954 she said her father was John Worpeter and her mother was Ann Mees. Daughter Eleanor’s birth record has her mother’s maiden name as Katherine Mees and her Social Security Claim has it as Katherine E Mees. Katherine’s own Social Security Claim has her parents as Peter Vorspeter and Anna Nees. The earliest record found for Katherine was the 7 June 1900 census taken in Morton County, ND. She was listed as Katy Wurstpeter, age 10, born Dec 1889 in ND, father born in Germany and Mother born in Aust-Hungary. She was in the household of Herman Mees, born Sept 1875 in Germany, both parents born in Germany. He had immigrated in 1885. His wife was Helena Mees, born Jan 1880 in Aust-Hungary as were her parents. She immigrated in 1884. She had two children and one was alive. Their daughter was Helena, born Feb 1897 in ND. Katherine’s relationship was listed as servant. It seems likely that her father’s name was Wurstpeter and Mother was Ann/Anna Mees.
