Mrs. Bills was a daughter of Mrs. David Workman and was quite well known and much liked. Surviving are two brothers, Amos of Fort Wayne and Homer of Thorncreek township, and one sister, Mrs. (Dr.) Kenner of this city. The stricken mother is also living in Thorncreek township. Columbia City Post - Whitley County, Indiana Saturday, June 11, 1910 Another victim of the dread white plague was called to her long sleep Tuesday evening when the death of Mrs. Horton Bills, of Troy township, occurred at 8:45. She had been ill with the disease for the past year but it was only during the past six weeks that she was unable to be on her feet. Blanche Workman was born to Mr. and Mrs. David Workman, of Thorncreek township, July 30, 1887, and died June 7, 1910, aged 22 years, 10 months and 7 days. She lived with her parents till the date of her marriage with Horton Bills, October 4, 1905, and then moved to the Bills farm in Troy township, where she has since resided. One child, a son, was born to them but died in infancy. In addition to the husband the deceased left her mother, two brothers, Amos Workman, of Fort Wayne, Homer Workman of Auburn; and one sister, Mrs. L. A. Kenner, of this city. Mrs. Bills was a devoted member of the church of the Brethren into which faith she was baptized a week ago and her untimely death is to be regretted. The funeral service will be held Thursday morning at the West Point Trinity Evangelical church and the sermon will be by Rev. Jesse Gump, of Churubusco. Interment will be in the Stough cemetery.
