Blondell was employed at Midland Lutheran College in the Food Service department. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Fremont, NE, FOE Auxilliary # 1834 of Columbus, a former member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church and Faith Lutheran Church of Omaha, NE. She enjoyed her bowling league. She is survived by her son; John (Jeannie) Omel of San Jose, CA; daughter, Joan (Rod) Wiese of Oakland, NE; brothers, Clyde (Pam) Morton of Daytona Beach, FL, Riley (Linda) Morton of Fremont; sisters, Betty Niess of Fremont, Beverly (Norm) Pesicka of Laguna Niguel, CA, JoElla (Bob)Turek of Fountain Valley, CA, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands; son, Michael "Mickey" Omel; brother, James Morton; brother-in-law, Ted Niess; nephews, Daniel and Douglas Morton; niece, Tera Lynn Morton. Funeral Service will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. Revs. Wesely Wilson and Dan Heuer will officiate. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday at Moser Memorial Chapel. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM and 1 hr. prior to the service. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
