Description	:	Bob Harry Hanner EASLEY – Bob Harry Hanner, husband of Merle "Pat" Patterson Hanner, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at his home, while surrounded by his family. Born June 11, 1922, to the late E. T. "Doc" and Fannie B. Hanner, of Leggett, TX.. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He worked at E-System and later worked at GE. Read More	Bob Harry Hanner EASLEY – Bob Harry Hanner, husband of Merle "Pat" Patterson Hanner, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at his home, while surrounded by his family. Born June 11, 1922, to the late E. T. "Doc" and Fannie B. Hanner, of Leggett, TX.. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He worked at E-System and later worked at GE. After retiring, he and his wife became missionaries with Mt. Airy Baptist Church, where they have been members for many years. He was a fifty year Mason and a member of Mountain Springs Masonic Lodge #302. He loved working in his garden and spreading the word of his Savior. Surviving, in addition to his loving wife, are children, Fran Monk (Wayne), Jarma Crouch and Truett Hanner (Julie), all of Texas, Michael Hanner (Pam) of Easley, SC, Regina Hanner-Byrd (Mark), of Greenville, SC, and Russell "Rusty" McMillan (Bonnie), of Georgia; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Lourine Hanner, of TX. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ed Hanner. Special thanks go out to Interim Hospice and their caregivers for their love and compassion. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2010, at Mt. Airy Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at the church at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Dr. Keith Shorter officiating. Burial, with Masonic rites, will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Airy Baptist Church, 210 Mt. Airy Church Road, Easley, SC 29642, or to Interim Hospice, 155 Deacon Tiller Court, Duncan, SC 29334-8880. Gray Mortuary, Pelzer is in charge of arrangements.
