Description	:	Bob Lee Seaman, the son of Lee and Lillian Seymour Seaman, was born June 19, 1925, on a farm near Greenville, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Greenville area where he received his education. At the age of 17 with permission from his father, Bob joined the Navy. Following his honorable discharge, Bob returned to school and achieved his GED. Bob farmed his grandparent's farm near Fostoria for several years in the 1950s. His childhood years were spent in the Greenville area where he received his education. At the age of 17 with permission from his father, Bob joined the Navy. Following his honorable discharge, Bob returned to school and achieved his GED. Bob farmed his grandparent's farm near Fostoria for several years in the 1950s. Bob later worked other various jobs until starting with the United States Post Office, where he worked over 20 years in the Communities of Forest City, Mason City, and Spencer, IA. Following his retirement, Bob lived near Gillet Grove where he enjoyed outdoor activities as well as playing cards and shooting pool.On January 23, 2006, Bob passed away unexpectedly at his home at the age of 80. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; three brothers and one sister.Left to cherish his memory are two sons: Greg Seaman, and his wife Connie, of Dickens, IA, Jeff Seaman, and his wife Lisa, of Spencer, IA; one daughter, Terry Frerichs, and her husband Dave, of Spencer, IA; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; one twin sister, Betty Hofstead, of Emmetsburg, IA; one brother, Ronald, of Emmetsburg, IA; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
